"So Brad McLaughlin mingled reckless talk
Of heavenly stars with hugger-mugger farming,
. . . [a]nd spen[t] the proceeds on a telescope
To satisfy a lifelong curiosity
About our place among the infinities. . . .
He had been heard to say by several:
'The best thing that we're put here for's to see;
The strongest thing that's given us to see with's
A telescope. Someone in every town
Seems to me owes it to the town to keep one.'"
Mitt Romney said at last night’s debate that he wants to provide “relief” to the middle class. Based on what his tax plan would actually do to middle-class families, we’re not sure that word means what he thinks it means.
